Cost recovery

Fees and charges

The Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Regulations 2005 determines the fees and charges for classification services.

Cost recovery implementation statements

A cost recovery implementation statement (CRIS) must be prepared to account for any fees charged by an agency where the total annual receipts from all fees is more than $5 million.

The aim of the CRIS is to provide clients with information on how fees are calculated and to improve the transparency of the fee process. It is also a government requirement that each CRIS is published on the agency's website.
