The film, Yellowjackets: Season 1, is comprised of ten episodes of dramatic American-Canadian co-production Yellowjackets, which focuses on the lives of a group of talented teenage soccer players who struggle to survive after their plane crashes in the Ontario wilderness. The series is set in 1996 and the present day, switching between the two temporalities as it tracks their lives in the wilderness, and their present-day reunion. The film also contains bonus material in the form of two featurettes.

Themes

The film contains thematic material related to cannibalism, teenage pregnancy, animal attacks, teenage group dynamics, suicide, murder, kidnapping and other crime, as well as depictions of injury detail and an extended sequence in which a large group are dosed with psilocybin mushrooms without their knowledge or consent.

Violence

The film contains sequences in which individuals are threatened with knifes and other weapons, a stabbing, brawls between teenage girls and depictions of material related to cannibalism.

Sex

The film contains depictions of sexual acts including some thrusting, as well as verbal sexual references.
