Have you ever felt like a Supporting Character in your own life? Because Paula (Fine Sindel) really is. In a world just like the movies, where all people are divided into main and secondary characters, Supporting Character Paula has spent her life playing best friend to musical star Hannah (Sira-Anna Faal), but dreams of becoming a Main Character, like the late father she idolises. With the support of her Supporting Character mother (Jule Böwe), Paula leaves her beige world to attend the Main Character School, but is unable to access her emotions like a Lead Character should, so she embarks upon a search to find out more about her family’s past, leading her into the forbidden fringes of society, where the Outtakes and Discontinued Characters live, and discovers the stories she has been told aren’t as true as she has been led to believe. It’s up to her, and a ragtag group of Outtakes, to uncover the truth and take control of their own stories.
