Kaduva is an Indian action film in which the owner of a rubber plantation, known to his local community as Kaduva, or ‘Tiger’ in English, is drawn into a series of conflicts with the church, local officials and corrupt police officers. The film is in Malayalam with English subtitles.

Themes

Thematic material includes crime and corruption, including verbal references to an abusive priest who is transferred into the local church. There are also brief verbal references to suicide and a discreet flashback scene in which a child discovers the body of his father after he has hanged himself.

Violence

The film features numerous extended fight scenes. Most of the combat is hand-to-hand and often involves several assailants, who are punched, thrown, spun and kicked. Occasionally, opponents are hit with objects such as pieces of wood. Blood and injury detail is largely absent, but there are occasional scenes with blood spray or other blood detail. The film also contains a brief scene of sexual threat, but the attacker is interrupted.

Language

The film contains occasional use of the words 'bloody' and 'hell'.
