Gangs of London is a British crime drama television series, following struggles between rival gangs and other criminal organisations in present-day London. It is loosely based on the 2006 computer game of the same name. London is being torn apart by both the turbulent power struggles of the international gangs that control it, and the sudden power vacuum that's created when the head of London's most powerful crime family, Finn Wallace, is assassinated.

Gangs of London is a British crime drama television series, following struggles between rival gangs and other criminal organisations in present-day London. It is loosely based on the 2006 computer game of the same name.

Themes

The series includes high impact themes such as criminal gangland activity, murder, high level corruption; internal gang fighting, torture, retribution and suicide; in the characters' stiving control of London’s streets.

Violence

The series presents high impact violence including cruel, sustained and sometimes frenzied attacks on men and women, who are shot, blown-up, impaled, hacked, choked, sliced, tortured, and/or drowned. The violence results in blood and gore along with blood spurts, dead bodies in pools of blood.

Sex

The series includes occasional strong verbal sexual references and a sex scene.

Language

The series includes strong coarse language in the form of a single use of the word 'C**t' and the words 'F**k', and 'Motherf**ker, 'bastard', 'bullshi', 'shit', 'dickhead', 'pissed', 'screwed', 'bollocks' and 'prick'.

Drug use

The series includes strong yet infrequent drug use; as well as frequent drug references in the form of images of packaged heroin cakes, or people packing it, and verbal discussions about drug distribution.

Nudity

The series includes strong nudity during a sex scene between a fully naked man and a woman, viewed at times in close-up. The woman's breasts are visible throughout, however, the man's penis cannot be seen.
