This research explores community standards in relation to the classification of certain film and computer game content, with a focus on the tolerance of coarse language, violence and other content at the G, PG and M levels. Participants from across Australia, including parents and carers, young people, CALD and First Nations community members and adult gamers were asked to engage with a range of content and provide their views on how it should be classified. The research will inform policy development and the work of the Classification Board in ensuring classification is consistent with community standards and expectations.
